@ElonMusk quoting RH 🤯 the world sure could use an approach to get real results, not just woke words that pander to folks (or horses) feelings, set them up for failure & misery later in life. That’s not leadership or being nice, that’s cruelty & selfishness.
After all…
Horsemanship isn’t just a way to train a horse, it’s everything we do with our horses and in our own lives.
And we got to remember… the emphasis and focus FIRST is on making the right thing easy. Then it’s not making the wrong thing- impossible (that in itself is impossible).
As a student it is life changing to have a mentor who truly believes in you- especially in the moments where you don’t believe in yourself.
If you’ve had one of those mentors, tag them here & thank them.
When you go ALL IN on
-SERVING people at the highest level
-Reaching the people are are meant to be serving
-leaving your fear of failure & judgement behind
You realize, marketing = the message you need to reach the people you’re meant to be serving & sales follows serving.
One of the best things my dad ever told me and I took to heart has been,
“The worst they can say is- no.”
Removing the emotion, the fear, of being told no from the equation, has proven to be the key to achieving things that most don’t dare to try- bc they fear being told ‘no.’
“Remember that children, marriages and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.” - H. Jackson Brown Jr.
Same goes for horses & businesses.
It isn’t information that’s holding you back…
It’s ACTION!
Being in the right rooms with the right people.
Doing what it takes to get the outcome you want.
The amount of time you have been doing something ≠ how good you are, your knowledge, skill level or value you bring doing that thing.
Your results do.
If you’ve only got 1 year experience but you get better results than the person with 50.
You got the job.
When I find something I really want but then see a price way above my budget, I don’t get mad and complain to the person who set the price.
I go find a way to make the $ so now I can afford it!
I shop for value & results first, I’ll figure out the $$ when the first two boxes✅
Business and Fishing have a lot in common and you don’t have to fish to understand this.
Be careful where you seek counsel from and how you ask.
It’s not just what you ask.
It’s where you fish and what bait you use that determine the kind of answers you’ll get- I mean fish.
Don’t dilute yourself so you’re more palatable to others.
If you’re strong & spicy, maybe a little bit sour…
Be just that!
There’s enough bland opinions being drowned out.
You don’t want to be one of them… because you’re not like them. Do you.
If you want it too bad, you’ll push it away.
Be interested, but stay focused on you and your vision.
Stay true to you, how you operate and where you’re headed.
That’s the ultimate way to attract exactly what you want.
It works with horses, men, women, money- whatever you want.
