Really sad news to hear that Nigel Cotgrove passed away today after a sudden illness while away on holiday.

Nigel devoted his working life to improving the lives of our members and working people everywhere.

He was a highly respected National officer in the T&FS constituency of the CWU and was regarded as one of the most knowledgeable people on pensions in the whole Trade Union movement.

In 2024 he was appointed to the Government's Low Pay Commission and worked tirelessly to support working class people. He will be sorely missed by his many friends and comrades in the CWU and across the movement.

My sincere condolences to Vicki and the family.

A thoroughly decent man and a great trade unionist. R.I.P Nigel.

Really sad news that Fred Jepson passed away yesterday after a long illness.

A former President, NEC, Postal Executive and Mt Pleasant Branch member, Fred was a lifelong trade unionist and a larger than life advocate for our members and working class people.

He will always be remembered as one of the true characters of our Union and the movement. Our sincere condolences go to Cherry and the family.
