After a few days to reflect, the pain is still there, but less for the loss, and more just knowing I’ll never put on a Husker jersey again. Thank you Husker fans for making this experience the past 5 years the greatest of my life. This place means everything to me. GBR for Life❤️
Dear Nebraska Fans,
Congratulations on making HISTORY!
Happy Hour is on ME.
See you before next season in the Haymarket District.
Date is TBD.
Sincerely,
JR
Top 10 Nebraska down 16 in Assembly Hall, doesn’t blink and stays perfect.
Indiana has its juggernaut football team to ease the sting.
Hard to imagine both are reality.
Greg’s warmth and kindness made this junior in college feel a sense of belonging.
He truly was as good as it gets. The ultimate professional, the ultimate friend.
RIP to a man whose legacy will truly live on forever. ❤️
My first time traveling with the Huskers back in the day was at Iowa for Big Red baseball.
I had class and couldn’t ride the bus with the team.
Greg was gracious enough to let a 21-year-old stranger ride with him to Iowa City. And he made a nervous kid feel right at home.
For 17 years, Greg Sharpe spoke past the microphone and into our hearts.
His legacy will be woven into the moments he narrated and carried on through the relationships he built.
We are deeply saddened by Greg’s passing and send our deepest condolences to the Sharpe family.
Over the following years, Greg became a friend, sharing many more car rides and meals, alongside @JeremyFoote, @bmclaughlin4 and @NickHandleyOMA.
Memories I will never forget.
