🎮OctoMaze — Puzzle, Arcade, Casual

👉What it is: A 2D puzzle-arcade where you do not drive the octopus. You stretch Aristotle’s tentacle through compact mazes, grab items, and keep the tentacle alive. Lasers, enemies, traps, the usual “one bad move and you start over.” We did not catch a story. The hook is the tentacle.

👾Platforms: Windows on Steam ($3.99). A 15-level demo is available. We played on Mac via Crossover. Also on Android (Google Play, $3.99). No native Mac or Linux. iOS was listed at some point; we could not confirm a current App Store build.

👏The good: •⁠ ⁠Fun puzzle game. Pretty solid overall. •⁠ ⁠Tentacle control is the interesting part. You are routing a limb, not walking a character. •⁠ ⁠Good offline game. Airplane, no data, still works. •⁠ ⁠Devs were super nice. •⁠ ⁠Ran clean on our Mac via Crossover.

💪Things we’d like to see improved: •⁠ ⁠$3.99 is worth it, but it is a little steep for a puzzle game in a world full of free ones. Free with ads, or $1.99 to remove ads, would be an easier ask. •⁠ ⁠Native Mac and Linux builds. Crossover was fine. A dedicated build would still help. •⁠ ⁠Story did not land in the demo, at least for us.
