istg every Discord redesign is a literal regression
I really don't understand why Discord got it right ONCE and then from that moment regressed severely
First they got rid of tabs v2 and the Messages tab, but at least they left a workaround where double clicking on the servers tab would move you to DMs
This design is so useless in many ways who the fuck even approved that???
Instead of a navigation bar you have a name plate visible at all times, it's so horrible in terms of UX and I'm not even an UX designer!
- pressing this ANYWHERE except the on the tiny Notifications button on the right opens your profile - something you DON'T need or want to frequently access
- the original tabs v2 design was PERFECT - it allowed you to move between the most relevant things you WANTED to access - servers, DMs, notifications and your profile / settings / everything else
I really wonder what decisions and ideas were thrown around while designing that, because if you ask yourself "what the user will want to accomplish here?" you will literally always land at something similar to the tabs v2 design.
Technology has robbed us of our best ominous sounds: an old phone left off the hook, and a record player that’s reached the end and is still spinning. I don’t even want to talk about TV static.
I have a stutter so voice assistants can hardly ever understand what i’m trying to say.
so i guess people who have speech impediments are just no longer able to use drive thru’s now 👍
I remembered this stretch of time in 2020 when the Henry Stickmin collection was released with many people not knowing what Among Us was before getting its surge in popularity later that year
does anyone else think its weird that your arguably most defining feature (your name) is chosen by your parent/guardian instead of yourself? like. its what everyone is going to call you as for the rest of your life, itll be on every important document and you didnt even choose it
In the summer of 2019, a 25 year old woman's mother asked Dairy Queen for a Moana-themed cake for her daughter's birthday party, Dairy Queen somehow misunderstood the order and made a marijuana-themed cake using a weed pony OC named "Stoney Poney".

@sacredbrowni Idk if it'd do much but you could submit feedback and voice your opinions. And there's always other search engines and dictionary websites. Still it sucks
