It's our shared responsibility to honor the memory of those we lost while reflecting on the strength of the survivors and the enduring resilience of Rwanda as a nation.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire organizing team whose dedication and effort made both events possible! 🕯

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 53 YEARS, THE KNICKS ARE NBA CHAMPIONS 🏆
New York defeats San Antonio 4-1 in the NBA Finals, capturing their third championship in franchise history!
Today marks the end of an extraordinary chapter in the life of a truly remarkable individual, Lt.Gen. Innocent Kabandana! I feel deeply saddened to lose a friend, yet I'm grateful for the time we shared.
As Defense Attaché at the Embassy in Washington, D.C., during my early days as an ambassador, Lt. Gen. Innocent Kabandana was more than just a colleague – he was a trusted partner and sounding board. His strategic mind, diplomatic finesse, and unwavering dedication to Rwanda embodied the very values of a Rwandan officer.
What struck me most about Lt.Gen. Kabandana was his unrelenting pursuit of knowledge and growth. all for the benefit of #Rwanda!
Even in his most challenging moments, he remained grateful to his country leadership for its support and care. His love for Rwanda and for his family was boundless, and it was reciprocated tenfold. His wife Sabine stood by him through thick and thin, exemplifying the true meaning of "until death do us part." Together, they inspired everyone around them with their unwavering faith and resilience.
Lt. Gen. Innocent Kabandana legacy lives on through his wife Sabine and his children – Monia, Brave, Brandon, and Noria – who have grown into fantastic individuals. May they continue to draw strength from the eternal flame of love and dedication that their father embodied. 🙏💗
This afternoon, Rwandans across the Tri-State gathered to celebrate #Umuganura in New York City🗽.
Amb. @martinngoga emphasized #Umuganura as a tradition revitalized to reclaim 🇷🇼’s heritage and part of the journey of self-determination where homegrown values shape our national story.
#Umuganura2025
Yesterday, our tri-state community (NY, NJ, & CT) came together to celebrate Umuganura. It was a wonderful occasion to also welcome our new ambassador to the UN, H.E. Martin Ngoga.
Some our young people assume that Naomie's success required little effort. Rather than learning from her story, they allow jealousy to drive their dismissive behavior!
Some of you have made it your personality to have contempt for everything our daring and creative youth ventures in. It’s predictable and boring. I for one can’t wait for Naomie’s book which will be a much more refreshing read than whatever this is.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who attended, contributed to & supported #RwandaConvention2025. For three unforgettable days in Dallas, your presence, ideas, and unity made this gathering a true success. It showed RCA’s deep commitment to building the #RwandaWeWant —stronger, resilient, and more connected than ever. Mwarakoze!
It is a great honor and privilege to serve KC as DVCAR during this rapid growth period. I'm excited to work with KC's talented faculty and students in providing high-quality education and actively engaging staff and students in impactful research and community outreach programs🙏🏾
Born in Rumbek, South Sudan 🇸🇸. Raised in Uganda 🇺🇬 since he was 2. Picked up interest in playing basketball after a boda boda man told him he was too tall for his age. Started playing at 14 & 4 years later, he is a top 10 NBA Draft 2025 pick.
Wow! 🤯
