You say it’s greed. Instead, I see a single mom who was paying $25 to get to work in an Uber getting there for $9 safely and being able to afford to buy food with the savings. When cars were invented, the people who picked up horse manure from the streets protested because they didn’t want to lose their jobs.

In less than 10 years almost all jobs will be replaced by robots that cost $2 per hour to run and will be faster and more productive than humans. Resistance is futile.
