God has given us incredible promises. But here’s where we can miss it. Silence leaves the territory unclaimed. Silence is not neutral; silence is surrender. You have to pronounce the promise before you possess it. When you speak what God says, that gives life to your faith.
Quit discounting yourself. Quit thinking you can’t pray for something big, you don’t have the faith, you don’t come from the right family. The requirement is: Are you a human? Since you are, God says you can ask for things that seem impossible.
God has great things in store for all of us, but too often, we don’t think we deserve it. Paul said in Romans, “The gift of righteousness is for all who will receive it.” God has gifts for you. He has mercy, wisdom, favor, abundance. You don’t earn it. It’s a gift.
We all want everything fast, but God knows when the best time is. One of the best things I’ve learned is to trust God’s timing. If it hasn’t happened yet, then it hasn’t been the right time. But when God is ready, all the forces of darkness cannot hold him back.
