I communicate with our students and their families each week that I only grade stuff on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So it really bugs me when parents will reach out immediately when their kid turns in a late assignment and then expects me to grade it immediately.

Someone better have some answers tomorrow because if I find out I've been busting my ass on these extra things and I'm not getting paid on them anymore then I'm not doing them.

Looked at my paystub for tomorrow and compared it with the last one to make sure I wasn't going crazy but I noticed for the month of September I didn't get paid for being the tech person or being the social studies department head.

I lost enough weight over the summer that my pants are starting to get loose. Which is great but also not great because my belt will only go so far.

As a teacher whenever I hear someone say " I don't want to add more to your plate" or "I know you're busy with everything" I automatically know that something extra is about to somehow become my responsibility when it previously wasn't. For no extra compensation I might add.

Went back to my parents house for the long weekend just to watch college football. Much easier to just use their YouTube TV instead of messing around with all the different apps.

I hate when parents email me saying give me a call.
No. You emailed me first to establish a contact and I've had too many parents try to lie on me with phone conversations in the past. It only happened once but that's still too many. You get an email so I have a paper trail.

I'm looking over my bills and it's going to be a miracle if I can make it to next payday on the 5th. I haven't even been doing anything crazy with the money the last month or so. Everything is just so goddamn expensive and we have these greedy corporations bumping their prices.

Oh and to add insult to injury I tried to tighten down my expenses this summer and figured I could sell some things with my 3D printer then of course just my luck the goddamn thing breaks so I can't print shit.

I hate the fact that I've had to turn down two Nintendo switch 2s that were specifically set aside for me because I've been broke. Thank God my paychecks Go back to normal in September.

Didn't work out today because my body literally shut down on me this morning so to make sure I still lose some weight today I'm going to wear a hoodie out in this 85° weather for our two hour football practice.
