OK, I've said that I don't care who Kamala Harris picks for her VP because anyone she picks will be great, but I really like this guy, Governor Tim Walz.
I like how plainly he speaks, and the unvarnished way he goes after weird JD Vance.
AFFIRMATIONS FOR HEALING THE FATHER WOUND:
I deserve kindness. I am not my father's anger. I did not deserve or create his rage. That was his to deal with.
I am loveable. My father leaving had to do with his lack of life skills. His inability to cope and raise children does not mean I'm unlovable. It means he took on a responsibility he couldn't manage.
I am worth protecting. Just because my father couldn't love me, doesn't mean I enter unbalanced relationships. I walk away when I need to, instead of trying harder to be loved.
I am proud of me. My father didn't approve of himself, so he couldn't approve of anyone else in his life. That's a reflection of him, not me.
I validate my own reality. My father's reality isn't greater or more real than my own. What he believes doesn't trump my own lived experience. I believe me.
I am shame-free. I release the shame my father carried that I inherited from him. I refuse to live in regret and resentment. His shame is no longer my own.
I allow myself to feel angry. I have anger at the way I was treated, and I no longer need to cater to my father's feelings about it. Feeling angry when I'm treated badly is a sign I care about myself.
I am not responsible for living out a false reality. I no longer live in my father's denial or repression. I speak my story. Secrets and dysfunction no longer have a place in my world.

If you’re looking for more ways to support folks in Lāhainā and on Maui, I hope you’ll consider donating to these local organizations that are providing direct support on the ground: https://t.co/BvyE6YkBUy
It’s tough to see some of the images coming out of Hawai’i — a place that’s so special to so many of us. Michelle and I are thinking of everyone who has lost a loved one, or whose life has been turned upside down.
If you’d like to help, you can do so here.

I actually read all 216 pages of Florida's new state social studies standards, and the enslaved-people-benefitting-from-slavery is not even the worst part. They basically created a K-12 course in Caucasian Race Theory
Here's the top 10 problems I found:

I did create that goofy Straw Chart so if you've seen my name around, it could be from my dope straw facts. Disability advocacy is so friggin important to me, and was never MORE important than when we hit a panorama.
But here! Have a freshie with no jpeg rot!
Wow! Woke up to see over 300K followers at that *other* site. It’s like the boom days ten years ago. Come join in the fun! It is a far more troll-free experience, let me just add. Check out my pinned tweet to find me!
🚨MISSING PERSON: #CarleeRussell
☎️ Tip Line 205-401-3365
Ms Russell called 911 at 9:34 pm Thursday and told a dispatcher she saw a toddler walking on the side of I-459 South. Police found Russell’s car and her phone, but no sign of her or the child.
💔 Pray she is safe!
The problem with some folks is that they tend to see homelessness as nothing more than an inconvenience in their lives — like encountering unhoused folks in parks and subways — instead of recognizing it as the grave reality where lives are tragically lost day after day.
BREAKING: Michele Obama delivers a deeply moving and powerful response to the Republican-controlled Supreme Court's decision to outlaw affirmative action in university admission considerations.
Mrs. Obama, who is a graduate of both Princeton and Harvard, stated that she was "one of the few Black students" on her campus and she was "proud of getting into such a respected school" because she knew that she had "worked hard for it."
Even so, she "sometimes wondered" if there were people who assumed that she was only there because of affirmation action.
"It was a shadow that students like me couldn’t shake, whether those doubts came from the outside or inside our own minds," said Mrs. Obama.
"But the fact is this: I belonged. And semester after semester, decade after decade, for more than half a century, countless students like me showed they belonged, too," she went on.
She pointed out that it "wasn't just the kids of color who benefitted" from a system with affirmative action because it meant that students would encounter perspectives they had never heard before, have their assumptions challenged, and grow their hearts and minds.
The former First Lady then destroyed the Republican narrative that affirmative action creates an unfair playing field for White Americans.
She stated that there are countless other forms of "special consideration" that factor into admissions because some applicants have parents who attended the same university, others can afford coaches who help them strengthen their athletic talents, and others go to expensive high schools with tutors and test prep.
"We don't usually question if those students belong. So often, we just accept that money, power, and privilege are perfectly justifiable forms of affirmative action, while kids growing up like I did are expected to compete when the ground is anything but level," she said.
She ended by saying that this ruling is a "reminder that we've got to do the work not just to enact policies that reflect our values of equity and fairness, but to truly make those values real in all of our schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods."
Well f*cking said.
RT and ❤️ if you think that Michele Obama nailed it — and consider investing in Tribel, a “woke” new Twitter competitor that is currently doing a round of equity crowdfunding and just blew past $2.1 million raised from 4,500 of its users.
