Demonetization of posts that get Community Noted is a great idea that needs refining:

1. A note adding “context” to a post that is accurate should NOT lead to the post being demonetized. Factual information is the goal; added context should enhance and not be discouraged.

2. Jokes/memes/satire should also NOT be demonetized. I would be disappointed if creators hesitated to post funny content; X would lose personally.

A note adding an explanation for those who might misunderstand the joke is fine, but the poster shouldn’t be penalized.

3. As @therabbithole points out, an appeal process needs to be in place.

I’ve written dozens of notes since the war started and I can’t stand it when accounts deliberately spread false information like old video, pictures from previous conflicts, etc., trying to pass it off as current information. In this, I believe @elonmusk and @CommunityNotes are on the side of truth, and demonetization of those posts is completely appropriate.
