Random thought on negative vs. positive messaging

We’ve been posting fun, upbeat TikToks for one of our companies—and hardly anyone noticed. Then I threw up a conspiracy-style clip on another account, and in three days it hit over 2 million views and 11 K comments. The contrast is wild. Sure, there are other factors, but it’s clear: negativity hooks us (no wonder the news runs one feel-good story for every 100 bad ones).

What does that say about our attention?

There is this old Proverb; “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”

Choosing the positive path may be harder and less popular—but I’m all in on speaking life and focusing on the good in everyone.

Anyone else already feeling the pain of @realDonaldTrump 10% base tariffs?

I just paid $8,000 more for a piece of film making gear from Germany. I tried to get the deal done before they kicked in, but couldn’t and today I got the news the added cost are being passing onto me.

I believe in the concept of Tariffs but not sure how long it will be until we actually see the positive results here in the states.

I’m thankful that God is my source and we will be able to absorb the extra cost.

We never set out to “build a brand.”

We just wanted to treat people well, honor God, and make great work.

When my wife and I started @NametagFilms, we didn’t have investors or a perfect plan—just a conviction that there was a better way to do production.

One built on the Golden Rule, where people are valued, money is stewarded well, and faith is at the center.

Years later, I’m still amazed at what God has done and grateful for the people He’s brought along the way.

Voyage Dallas recently asked me to share a bit of that journey. I don’t take stuff like this lightly—and definitely don’t want it to come off as self-promotion. But if it points someone to the idea that you can do business with integrity, creativity, and faith… then I’m in.

Creativity needs a challenge — time, cash, or talent to push against. At Nametag Films I noticed this is so true with the projects we take on, limits spark genius.

I noticed Elon had unlimited budget, tech, and talent, but he gave his Grok 3 team a wild deadline for no reason—it built fake urgency that drove them hard, and I think Grok 3 is amazing.
