Once Harold Shipman’s crimes came to light, palliative care in the NHS was fundamentally changed. An entire institution altered the way it dealt with patients because of one “bad apple”. The Met have known the details of this case for 6 months. They have no excuse.
Stop assuming that weight gain is a sign that someone is unhappy or unwell. Sometimes it's actually a sign that that person is living their fullest life instead of wasting it obsessing over their size. And sometimes it's just something that happens, and IT MEANS NOTHING AT ALL.
