@XGuardianAngel7 I'd much rather the Justice League of America showcasing the original 7 members with the Justice League being more akin to The Brave and the Bold where they have a super expanded cast, and it highlights the diversity that the DC universe actually carries.
@butcrumb@letsgoflyairs@G_O_A_T_Lantern The point is the rings aren't chosen based off of threat level to a planet, and it's clear they're following an adaptation of the first arc in the 1990s GL with a few twists to make it fit better into the DCCU which is the best possible choice they could've made storyline-wise.
@butcrumb@letsgoflyairs@G_O_A_T_Lantern Hal becomes GL
Hal needs backup, but Guy is injured, so John Stewart is chosen in hard travelling heroes
Parallax happens so kyle becomes the torchbearer
Simon baz happened because Hal and Sinestro essentially died and the ring sought him.
Jessica is the only one that fits this
@butcrumb@letsgoflyairs@G_O_A_T_Lantern 1. That would be telling not showing since all we've seen from the DCU is the grounded peacemaker and the Metropolis centered Superman. It's just bad writing for them to say earth is chaotic without grounds to prove. 2. We got all the Lanterns on earth cause of circumstance.
@Pochettino_1972 @ZSVIII @abstractdingus The characterization of Hal from what we've seen is very accurate to the only portrayal of him we've seen as old and disgruntled. This is also coming from what is widely considered to be the 2nd best Green lantern run of all time.
@G_O_A_T_Lantern Why are you all against Hal being replaced. He's old and probably at this point wants to retire. It's just gonna follow a Hal from the 90s run and that's OK.
@letsgoflyairs@G_O_A_T_Lantern Them all being active at the same time is because of circumstance. Since earth hasn't had any cataclysmic events yet why would they need 3 lanterns. Having multiple characters active makes sense entertainment-wise but telling a story that makes sense is more important.
