Thank you so much, Mzeei @KagutaMuseveni, for accepting our humble request for a Town Hall Discussion.
This moment reminds us of 1967, when you led young pan-African students at Dar es Salaam under USARF to discuss African liberation and integration.
And that passion birthed the NRA/M revolution.
Today, the young people of Uganda are ready to walk in those same footsteps and discuss the future of our country and Africa with you.
I look forward to working with my co-name @Nyinancweende to make this discussion a success🙏
Long live Mzeei
Long live NRM
I have just spoken to my great uncle, Afande Saleh, he asked me to forgive Otafiire. I told Afande Saleh, that we are TIRED of unemployed bagurusi who spend their time abusing us. We are going to deal with this issue once and for all!
@Onc_nrm1 Manager today joined CEC and other @NRMOnline senior leaders to welcome President @KagutaMuseveni who also serves as our National Chairman, to officiate at today's NRM Parliamentary Caucus meeting at Kololo.
I officiated at the International Day of the Older Persons at State House Entebbe, where I urged the elderly to modernise and learn to preserve their wealth. Many older people start fragmenting their wealth to distribute it to their children instead of using modern inheritance methods such as shareholding.
Our aim as government is to ensure that wealthy older people maintain their wealth, while those who have none are supported to obtain it through available government programmes. Therefore, we shall tailor a PDM programme for the elderly after concluding our financial engagements in the AFCON, which has taken a lot of money.
Another issue facing older people is that they are most affected by medical conditions and expenses. It is, therefore, my view that the government should sponsor and recruit a geriatrician in each district to offer free and consistent medical support to the elderly.
