This week we had the pleasure of hosting 85 scientists for our @icap2024 satellite conference on Cold Atoms and Molecules for Fundamental Physics at @JesusCollegeCam.
Many thanks to all the speakers, poster presenters and participants for 3 days of inspiring discussions!
Chen has had a great week at the #ICAP2024 summer school in Oxford! He also presented a poster on some of our work on preparing strontium for #AtomInterferometry as part of @AION_Science.
And posters:

Quantum simulation with ultracold bosons in frustrated optical lattices
Thursday 6th June, Session R08
3.36pm, room 203B
Lee will be presenting observations of quench dynamics in a 2D optical quasicrystal
And Michael presented yesterday on probing localization in the 2D Aubry-Andre model using ultracold atoms in an optical lattice
This morning at #DAMOP Dan and Mehedi @mhasan137 will be presenting our work on frustrated physics in the kagome and triangular lattices at negative absolute temperature - Session G05, starting at 10.30am in room 202AB @CaMBQD @APSMeetings

Session V00: Poster Session III
Investigating the phase diagram of bosons in the triangular and kagome optical lattices at positive and negative absolute temperature.
Luca @lucad_96 is at #APSMarch to present our latest results from the #KagomeLattice lab! He'll discuss experiments on triangular and kagome optical lattices at positive and negative absolute temperature.
Check out his talk (Tuesday) and poster (Thursday) - details below!
Talk: Tuesday 5th March, 3:36pm, room 204AB
Session K55 Ultracold Quantum Gases
Luca will discuss the preparation of stable bosonic states in the flat band of a kagome optical lattice, highlighting a range of time-of-flight probes to observe the state of the atoms
The ever-growing team of Cambridge @AION_Science students enjoyed meeting the rest of the collaboration and discussing their work at the meeting!
Here @DeptofPhysics we work on projects ranging from cooling and trapping cold strontium, to simulations of atom interferometry!
We recently had our latest consortium meeting, this time hosted by our @RAL_Space_STFC team at the beautiful Cosener's House in Abingdon. We enjoyed three days of technical discussions and updates on everyone's progress!
@VivekSa95991661 @UlrichCamPhy Thanks for your interest in our work! The department website has useful information about PhD opportunities: https://t.co/F551mq0c22.

We also had talks from Mehedi @mhasan137 on our work with triangular optical lattices and Georgia @GeoNixon_ on periodic driving of lattice sites. All the team had a great time presenting our posters on the kagome and quasicrystal lattices, and applications of machine learning!
Our quasicrystal and kagome lattice teams are enjoying visiting Glasgow for the annual #DesOEQ meeting hosted by @PhysicsStrath!
We have lots of posters and presentations lined up, starting yesterday with @UlrichCamPhy discussing the latest results in the quasicrystal lab!
