A Tax Audit is not merely the filing of Form 3CD. It involves examination of books and records, reconciliation, verification of supporting documents, tax analysis, documentation and professional judgement.

The quality of this process directly affects the accuracy of tax reporting and the integrity of the compliance system.

WHY IS AN EXTENSION NEEDED?

🔹 QUALITY TAKES TIME
A thorough audit cannot be reduced to a race against the clock.

🔹 MULTIPLE COMPLIANCES CREATE PRESSURE
Several important statutory compliances compete for professional attention around the same period.

🔹 EVERY DAY OF DELAY COMPROMISES QUALITY
As the deadline approaches, every day without clarity means less time for verification, reconciliation and meaningful professional review.
