I think there’s a tendency to view Ikemen as simply “Mugen 2.0,” but that perspective can overlook just how much room the engine offers for innovation and game development beyond the traditional Mugen formula.

Fully exploring its potential requires a broader understanding of game design, as well as an appreciation for what can actually be achieved with the tools available. No engine should be defined solely by what has traditionally been done with it.

When it comes to the fighting game space, I genuinely believe there’s very little that is fundamentally beyond Ikemen’s potential. With the right creativity, technical knowledge, and willingness to experiment? The possibilities are far greater than many people realize.

Don’t sell yourself short by assuming the ceiling has already been reached.

@FusedRage You are talking about Ikemen Plus Ultra right? Currently no, but maybe you can do it in select.lua script using an conditional for an specific character like voice announcer example but with ['pal'] field.
