@InAHandBa5ket@davpeterson27@StefanFrancisci Not bad at all! You can tell when a city is organically grown. My friends in Boca (Miami) live in a area where it's just massive build out after build out for MILES. It's sad that 80% of new developments.
@InAHandBa5ket@davpeterson27@StefanFrancisci To be fair it can just be different sensibilities. Personally when I drive through a neighborhood and all the homes look the same I think cattle. And I believe a lot of Americans don't want that, but don't really have an option when it comes to budgeting, and proximity to work.
@InAHandBa5ket@davpeterson27@StefanFrancisci Also "green space" is a few dozen acres of land to hike, camp, (If big enough) hunt, fuck put in some airsoft and paintball. That's what our kids need, not plastic parks.
@InAHandBa5ket@davpeterson27@StefanFrancisci Repetitive housing with no sense of self. Streets that kids aren't allowed to play on because the HAO is controlled by old people (My experience). And a park that has entirely plastic grass. Drive through some of the new budget suburbs, not the nice old ones. Imma save for land
@davpeterson27@TweeterTeej@StefanFrancisci San Bernardinos City center is 49% parking lots, this does not include roads. Worst offender yes but maybe our cities could be denser if there was a good alternative to travel.
@illitaret@davpeterson27@StefanFrancisci Provide examples of GOOD public transport in the USA and it failing from its own weight. No Cali rail bs, where politicians just pocket the money. The issue is American bureaucracy can't be trusted to manage shit, not with the concept public transport itself.
@davpeterson27@StefanFrancisci In Florida I can drive for 3 hours straight before I see trees.
Edit: I don't expect a high speed rail to California, to New York? Maybee the east coast is pretty dense. But within my own fucking big ass city some light rail to downtown would be amazing. Save so much time and $
@davpeterson27@StefanFrancisci Drive more then an hour bc every lives in soulless suburbs connected via highways that slow to a crawl when a baby sneezes. GIVE ME DECENT PUBLIC TRANSPORT
