The West Plains R-VII School District is pleased to announce Brandon Somoza as the new Assistant Principal of West Plains High School for the 2025–2026 school year.

Mr. Somoza has led the Zizzer Pride Academy as Director since 2023. Before that, he taught in the Cabool School District. His background includes serving as a children’s service worker with the Greene County Department of Social Services and as a youth specialist for the Division of Youth Services.

Mr. Somoza holds a Master of Science in Administration, a Master of Arts in Teaching, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, all from Missouri State University.

He will officially step into his new role on July 1, 2025.
