Pride is also a reminder that allyship is an ongoing journey, rooted in listening, learning, and supporting one another throughout the year.
We are working diligently to create a memorable festival this August (Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd) and cannot wait to see everyone there!
Happy #Pride Month! The Dundas Cactus Festival remains committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment for all. We believe a community is strongest when everyone feels they belong, and we are proud to celebrate the diversity that makes our festival so vibrant.

HUGE thank you to the @RoyalCdnLegion (Branch 36) for their generous contribution to this year’s Dundas Cactus Festival.
This donation would not have been possible without the Catch The Ace charitable initiative, the progressive jackpot for which has now exceeded $500,000!
We want to thank each of the vendors who joined the Cactus Festival last year, as well as all of our performing artists, all of our hardworking volunteers, and, of course, the local fans that have helped make the Dundas Cactus Festival an unmissable event every year since 1976.
We’re very proud to announce that the #CactusFest has received two awards from CommunityVotes - Hamilton. One in the ‘Entertainment’ category, and a Platinum award in the ‘Amusement, Theme Parks and Recreation’ class, the highest grade offered by this community-driven campaign.

Did you know…? | The original #CactusFest took place across a full week in late-June to early-July 1976. Celebrations included a week of dances, picnics and "athletic events," specifically a tennis tournament, wheelchair basketball, and even a hang glider display.

Did you know…? | The third day of the inaugural #CactusFest (Monday June 26th 1976) ended with a showing of the 1969 movie 'Cactus Flower,' starring Ingrid Bergman and a young Goldie Hawn in one of her earliest roles. The screening took place at Dundas' Parkside High School.
