CONTEXT: Annie starts to breakdown the present day maximum-security germ labs. She references “BSL-4 labs” which carry the most dangerous and fatal diseases in the world.

JACOBSEN: “Before 911 the United States only had two BSL-4 labs. After 911 we pumped BILLIONS into gain of function research. We went from having two BSL-4 labs to having 15 BSL-4 labs.”

JACOBSEN: “The world followed our lead so now across the globe we have 110 BSL-4 labs.”

ROGAN: “Oh boy this is a problem.”

JACOBSEN: “We’re not even talking about the BSL-3 labs which contains all sorts of deadly stuff like hantavirus and the plague.”

ROGAN: “How many of those do we have?”

JACOBSEN: “We have 1500 BSL-3 labs just in America. There are 3500 worldwide. 90% of them don’t have any guidelines for safety.”

We’re passing the point where “public safety” and “national security” have become a privately operated movement and information database capable of tracking millions of innocent people alongside “legitimate investigations”.

Data rights aren’t just a technology issue anymore — they’re becoming a civil rights issue.

Those ideas are grounded in truth. We don't talk enough about things like the Scalp Act, the Chinese Exclusion Acts, and other parts of American history.

Ben Shapiro: Nobody is denying that history. The issue is whether Critical Race Theory is influencing policy today.

When schools lower testing standards to eliminate disparities, that's an example of those ideas in practice.

Malcolm Nance: Can you draw a straight line to that?

Ben Shapiro: Yes. One hundred percent. If merit is dismissed as an outgrowth of white supremacy, lowering standards becomes the logical next step.

That's why this debate matters.
