Words will never be enough to thank President @realDonaldTrump for having the courage to stand up when so many others stood down. From the beginning, this case was driven by politics, personal agendas, and ambition — not by justice or truth. For five years, my family and I lived under the weight of a system weaponized to destroy lives and silence those who wouldn’t fall in line.

President Trump’s call changed everything — a reminder that truth still matters, and that real leadership means taking the time to lift the burdens of others, even while carrying the weight of a nation.

Because of President Trump’s strength and compassion, my name has been cleared, my freedom restored, and my purpose renewed. I am profoundly grateful to him and to everyone who stood by me when it wasn’t easy or popular. While my conviction in the truth gave me the strength to stand firm when it would have been easier to surrender, it was their belief in me that kept hope alive when everything else was falling apart.

This pardon isn’t about politics. It’s about righting a wrong — and I will spend the rest of my life honoring the mercy and justice that made it possible, and fighting for others who deserve the same.

Today is my Freedomversary.

Eight years ago, President Trump granted me clemency and gave me a second chance at life. After nearly 22 years in prison, I walked out the gates and into a future I had prayed for but could no longer see.

I will never forget that moment.

Prison took many things from me, including years with my family and the loss of my parents and a son. But I never lost hope or faith that my life still had purpose.

The gift of freedom came with a responsibility: to help others.

Over the last eight years, I’ve advocated for second chances, supported criminal justice reform, and now serve as White House Pardon Czar.

From a prison cell to the White House, this journey has been possible through God’s grace and President Trump’s courage.
