Sources: @GamecockBSB head coach Kevin Schnall is making quite a statement, as the #Gamecocks will hire Wake Forest hitting coach Bill Cilento in the same role, I'm told. Cilento has spent the last 17 seasons at Wake, and has had some HC opportunities in the past. Strong hire by the #gamecocks.

Coastal Carolina RHP Daniel Parker has committed to South Carolina, he announced on Tuesday.

Parker went 3-0 with a 4.76 ERA, 32 strikeouts and 21 walks as a freshman this season. He attended nearby P27 Academy in Lexington.
