@Creetosis22 I'd far rather have my favorite IP's dead buried and forgotten then bastardized and turned into shitslop that only appeals to people who never had interest in it
This is why arguing with Bethesda fans is annoying. In Fallout 4, each of the four faction paths have a clear and decisive victory. Since the Prydwen still exists according to the show, the Institute and Railroad endings cannot be canon. In the Brotherhood, Railroad and Minutemen endings, the Institute is destroyed. There is only one Institute. They don't have any other bases of operation or anything like that. Once they're done, they're done.
Bethesda Fallout fan: "Well maybe the Brotherhood could still be fighting the Institute a decade later!!"
See, the problem with Bethesda fans is they selectively take information from the games that's convenient to whatever argument they're making while ignoring everything else.
The state of the world (and lore and worldbuilding) is constantly in flux because Bethesda makes massive sweeping changes on a whim. Bethesda fans seem to follow the same idea, that nothing is static and can change at a moments notice. Something established in previous games as being canon is only true until a new entry says otherwise. This allows them to make these shitass cope arguments that are effectively impossible to argue against because they're unfalsifiable.
"Maybe they're still fighting the Institute!" This is nonsense given the only canon endings to Fallout 4 can be the Brotherhood or the Minutemen, but as we've seen with S2 of the Fallout show, Bethesda is more than willing to completely trash such things and go in a completely different direction, effectively decanonizing what was believed to be the possible endings for the game.
It leads to a situation where all information in the canon games, as established by Bethesda, is effectively dubious at all times because none of it matters to future installments and can be completely changed at a moment's notice and by extension, the Bethesda fans make these arguments that would be absolutely retarded in any other situation, but because Bethesda cares that fucking little about the lore or consistency, its now a possibility.
There is, effectively, no actual lore to Fallout anymore. Bethesda has made it more than clear that they'll change anything they want as they please and Bethesda fans will eat it up and defend it and come up with any pathetic cope argument they can to excuse and justify it, then call you an elitist for having basic fucking standards and wanting basic consistency in the series.
