Just a reminder, the Texas Rangers have won a playoff game more recently than the Houston Astros. Also won a playoff game in Houston more recent than the Astros have. #Silverboot
@kennlandry@MLBPipeline Now imagine gore (26) learning behind guys like evo and degrom. Two legends of the game. It’s a recipe for success. Iron sharpens iron
@kennlandry@MLBPipeline Thank you Kennedi. Gore is a proven starter having 27+ starts in the prev 3 years. He’s a guy we need for our third starter. He has a disgusting pitch mix and is only 26. None of the prospects are proven so I believe we win this trade if we can extend gore going forward.
@TXRUpdates FEIN batted a .226 in the minors last year. We have Walcott still. None of the prospects are proven yet and gore is on the verge of becoming a top 15 starter in the league. He’s 26 and due for a big extension. Hope we can pay that
The Rangers are acquiring left-hander MacKenzie Gore in a five-for-one deal, per Jeff Passan.
Gore, 26, is a former No. 3 overall pick and a key piece of the Juan Soto trade to Washington. The lefty has developed into a high-strikeout rotation arm, posting 185 Ks in 159.2 innings last season with a 4.17 ERA, earning his first All-Star nod.
While the full return isn’t official yet, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports shortstop Gavin Fien, the Rangers’ 2025 first-round pick (12th overall), is the headliner going to Washington. Right-hander Alejandro Rosario is also included.
@JohnnyDHookEm @McFarland_Shawn You move latz back to the bullpen for a long reliever role and have him start games here and there like we did last year. Bradford can either be dished out or put in the bullpen. What I really wanna see is rocker go to the back half of the bullpen, dude has 100+ in his pocket
@StarkDerek29123@MrRanger2023@rangers__nation I was at this same game and also got a pic after the game. Really awesome guy. Shook all of our hands and had a full conversation with us. Definitely a moment for my father aswell
@RealRyanMaxson@WritingRangers I could be wrong but he ran for tellez, he was already coming into the game for him on defense so he came into to run for him.
