Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.
Dropsite's Jeremy Scahill: "The Kibbutz told us on the record that two cases of SA of teenage girls that the NYT, CNN, and the AP had reported, never happened. We went to the NYT for comment, they still to this day refuse to retract it... because it was award season."
A few months ago I was sitting on a bench in Tel Aviv with a colleague, and an older Israeli man came up to us and asked if he can sit with us. We said yes, so he asked what we were working on. We said we're making a film about the West Bank.
"What do you think about the Arabs?", he asked. Instead of answering, I asked what he thought.
"A good Arab is a dead Arab", he answered.
This was said 5 minutes into the conversation, to a complete stranger. This is a normal thing to say in Israeli society, even in the hyper-liberal Tel Aviv.
The entirety of our social, cultural, and political firmament was mobilized immediately after 9/11 to make sure that there would be no generational hatred of Muslims.
Most of the same forces are *pushing* the hatred of Jews.
After being freed in Jan 2025, Israeli hostage Arbel Yehoud—with her 90's grunge aesthetic—mostly complained about the IDF nearly killing her. A year later Arbel looks like a suburban housewife and she's vaguely hinting at what Israeli media has interpreted as daily SA in captivity. This is starting to become a familiar pattern. 😒
And while she was at Harvard, she essentially ghostwrote Alan Dershowitz's "hoax" book, "The Case for Israel", a tome filled with plagiarism and extreme pro-Israel propaganda.

None of them censured by Democrats. No penalty. Instead, some Dems censured Al Green, Rashida Tlaib, and have spent the past year attacking Mamdani and Abdul El Sayed.
Assume you live in a world where everyone is of blue race. Your 3yr old is very sick. Doctor A scored 80th percentile MCAT, comes from a poor background. Doc B is in the 99th percentile, comes from wealth. Who would you choose to perform lifesaving surgery on your child?
More Ukrainians died in Mariupol alone in less than a year than people died in decades of Israel Palestine conflict.
Lives of Ukrainian adults aren't less valuable or important than the lives of underage gazans
