Breaking: Michael Bay is in talks to direct Transformers 8, his first return to the franchise since The Last Knight in 2017.

Steven Spielberg is back to oversee the creative direction of the project for Paramount (under Skydance), aiming for a modern-day story closer in tone to the early films.

The script is by Jason Fuchs; Shia LaBeouf will not return, and no other cast has been announced.

The deal is not finalized, but Bay reportedly met with Spielberg and read the script before moving into negotiations.

This is going to be AMAZING. Hoping Shia & Megan come back, low key.

On the bright side, I'm happy so many are happy with the figure.

Hopefully I'll be convinced soon, but the lack of wrist swivels and forcing gorilla arms is kinda crazy.

Especially for a $43 voyager.

Chris Hemsworth is expected to play Optimus Prime in Michael Bay's Transformers.

Maybe they will get better toys in 2032.

25th anniversary anyone?

@GLaNimeIArt She’s cute

I'm am sorry for the crash out you all have endured.

Alas, I'm human and I care way too much about this.

But to clarify my opinions, I don't hate the Ratchet, it's just not to my taste.

I DO hate the Ironhide and Jazz because it's genuinely peak laziness and we deserve better.

You like something a lot you're a Bayverse shill.

You think something is bad you're too negative and whiney.

There is no winning on Twitter!

[🎃 Lord Galvatron 🎃 @GalvStudios22]

So with a new Transformers movie hopefully on the horizon, I wanna see your rosters.

If it's a TLK sequel, show me the Autobots and Decepticons that feel right for the story.

If it's a reboot, show me the ideal new generation roster.

SS TLK MEGATRON and 07 Ratchet IN HAND SHOTS!!

He looks a little strange in the box and that jet certainly is a bit chunky but I'm still on board for this guy.

No comment on ratchet.

[TFHypeGuy @TFHypeGuy]

AOTP The Deceiver and MW Starscream IN HAND SHOTS!!

YOOOOO ok Onyx looks AMAZING those colours are EXACTLY what I've been waiting for.

MW Starscream also looks incredible, great colours on a great mold.
