Today marks the end of my role as Resident Visual artist here @sensecharity.

I feel incredibly privileged to have worked alongside the people we support at Sense over the past two years – building meaningful relationships and nurturing creative practice. Thank you!

Tomorrow @CaitlinKSense and I are travelling to Hastings for some R&D with @ProjectArtWorks. We are stopping over so we can make the most our time local to the studios to meet the artists behind the works I was fortunate to view last November at @balticgateshead

Yesterday @CaitlinKSense & myself ran a Gelli printing session with 2 individuals @touchbasepears Us both demonstrating different approaches. The wonderful thing about art is everyone has their own unique style.

Expanding access to arts and culture is at the heart of what we do as Sense Arts. Here is a magical moment when Azhar explored Roxanne Smith's work - a Neurodivergent artist who is mentored by @ArtRiotCollect1. The shapes and colours then inspired Azhar's work back in the studio!

As part of #DeafAwarenessWeek2024 sessions in May are inspired by Deaf artist and ARTivist #NancyRourke who communicates her lived experience through her bold work. I love the colours and the stories she tells within her work.

Last week Cienne discovered her practice is inspired by nature she also made the decision that printmaking is a process she enjoys & wants to develop. So today during here 1-2-1 @touchbasepears she created these beautiful Gelli prints exploring nature and layering #ThisisMyArt

Currently on the walls on the approach to the studios, work by @touchbasepears artist Yiannis. His artistic practice explores bold, colourful mark-making. Yiannis is mentored by my TBP colleague @CaitlinKSense and our AD @AD_Tanya_Sense.

Another brilliant series of Tanya's Online Art Club supported by @sensecharity
@AD_Tanya_Sense shared some examples of how non-verbal artist Ross approaches the paint stick material as part of her mentorship. This inspired other members of the group to work in this way.

Really proud of the SEND school art provision we have grown since October. It is going from strength to strength as we work with two schools groups every month.
