“…if the same funds were invested in four-and five-year-olds, that are spent on interventions for the 2/3 of third graders who have not learned to read proficiently, a lot of anguish, sadness, and later costs could be avoided.” TRUTH from Dr. Jeannine Herron

As an elementary reading specialist who is going through a curriculum review process now, I couldn’t agree with this letter more. All kids deserve to learn how to read. No one is suggesting banning any books from classroom libraries.
“No dystopian government on Beacon Hill… is going to take away local control or ban classroom libraries,
Pls, I beg you steer clear of this false information & fear-mongering that is frightening parents & Ts.”

She was a lovely lady who was the first Holocaust Survivor I met when I was a young teacher. I’m so grateful that she shared her story and wish her eternal peace 🙏
@Bibliogato All of a sudden you see reading in bed and waffles on Sunday and laughing at nothing and his mouth on yours. And it's so far beyond fine that you know you can never go back to fine. That fast. You think: Oh, here is the rest of my life. It's finally arrived. - Gone Girl by GFlynn
@mcarlosreads @MmeLockhartLDSB Right, so why are you asking the author of this tweet to do the work you’re looking for? She listed the books and separated them into categories and chose all well-known, published authors. I look to Twitter for ideas and inspiration but don’t expect others to do the work for me.
@mcarlosreads @MmeLockhartLDSB Perhaps this is something you can research yourself if you’re interested in a specific topic listed. I love the organization of these books & I read half of them in my literacy program @mghihp These are published authors and you can read about them when looking up the books
@BostonMoxley @CodaBarBoston@CanarySquareJP I miss a soup I had once at Coda…maybe a Spanish bread soup? I recall trying to look up a recipe after having it and not being successful. Also greatly enjoyed the Coda burger!!
