If you're a Christian parent and you cut off a child for being LGBTQ+, you have done something of great evil. Set aside that cruel theology of exclusion, follow your heart, and embrace your child.
I don’t want America to be a “Christian nation.”
Christian Nationalism is toxic and oppressive, and nations can’t be Christian anyway.
I just want American Christians to act more like the Jesus they claim to follow.
jesus provided free food and healthcare and wanted to release imprisoned people and evangelicals have spent a long time trying to do the opposite of those things
My politics as a Christian is wanting all people to have food, drinkable water, shelter, healthcare, education, a livable wage, liberty and justice no matter if they share my religious beliefs or not.
Yet, this seems extremely controversial to so many fellow Christians.
Even as a nonbeliever I prayed from time to time. Did it do anything? I don’t know. But I always hoped there was more. Just didn’t know how to process my feelings about spirituality.
As someone who was completely turned off from ever returning to Christianity because of Christians, not Jesus, I wish Christians modeled Jesus to attract followers, not condemn everyone they dislike. I feel like that’s exactly the opposite of what Jesus would do.
