@TheIanCarpenter Nothing is in production
Retailers can't just buy more
You think distro just sends us destined rivals boxes? If they happen to "find" some you think they charge us MSRP?
(They charge almost market)
As a reminder I will buy your SIRS for MSRP
@Bleepbloop758@Poke_Holics_@SakurasCardShop@misanthropyplan There is a necessity
If I want to keep my store open I have to keep buying on the open market
We can't just call up john Pokemon for more boxes. We have to re buy are higher amounts. I am not going to sell a box and turn around and rebuy it from the same guy for more.
@hodlfox@SakurasCardShop In general how do you know
If I got a box for $105 from distro
But I bought a box from a customer for $185
How do we know which one is which? I'm not going to sell a box I bought at $185 for $160
@Catscollecttcg A few things you need to be aware of:
1) The retail space is so small compared to the rest. If you are even remotely successful you will lose business on how cramped it is
2) you would need at least 100k to get inventory worthy of that much storage
@Asmongold@UbermenschMind If you have to say "this isn't me being gay" that means you are saying some gay shit
No hate for saying gaying shit but at least own it
@PokeTeeJay The thrill of opening packs is minimized by being around it all day.
What I personally enjoy:
Making market predictions
Holding on to something that you think is underappreciated
Bringing out "old" products that are now rare
Enjoying the great art we get to see everyday
@spenny1412@RandyTreibel@SlabDaBase Unless something is actually mispriced you should respect the price.
The only thing there is wiggle is no liquidity items without a true baseline
@RandyTreibel@SlabDaBase Old heads who would rather do anything other than run a successful business.
I will focus on making my shop better rather than pandering to the worst common denominators.
@tmtfc206@RandyTreibel@SlabDaBase Idk where this idea that customers are hard to obtain in this market.
I can just sell it online and save the infinite labor
Not sure why people think bartering is acceptable behavior.
