Miles off here unfortunately - HUGE difference from the 90s. Back then Celtic were heavily dependent on gate money, so boycotting games/STs directly threatened cash flow. Boycotts actually managed to get some matches under break even point which meant the bank of Scotland then put more pressure on the board. Today revenue is far more diversified and importantly if you don’t renew there’s a good chance someone else takes the seat. Renewing doesn’t mean approving of the board - it can just mean not wanting to lose your seat.
