And boy whoever recruited Annalea Maeder out of Switzerland, they should be getting a raise. Maeder is the bomb, sets like a dart to the hitters and back passes are bellisimo to Grote & Hayden on the slide. Her height is a special advantage in getting bad passes on top of the net

Really great improvements from the hitting crew from Sam Tamoepeau & Leah Schmidt, both showing power & placement on cross court missiles. Lydia Grote is so much fun to watch w her vision to either find the gaps in the defense or hit it off the blocker to force it out of bounds.

13/Ran into @mimamirkovic at the grocery store, of all places, just after a season ending injury that ended her long journey to post season play. I could tell it was really tough for her to deal with then but glad to see her able to reflect. She was an absolute giant for Cal.

@CalBeachVB is on the hunt for a bid to the NCAA Championship tournament this May. With an expanded field of 16 teams, the highly ranked Bears have a great shot to make their 1st appearance to post season tournament play but they’ll have to overcome big challenges to get there.
