Yesterday was a double celebration, passing my OSCE after a very anxious few weeks, and celebrating 8 years of being a cat dad to my ginger giant 💚

Had the absolute pleasure of speaking on the Hope panel during this event yesterday, a brilliant event full of brilliant people, gutted I had to zip straight to uni but I’ve no doubt it was a wonderful day!

The Your Time to CHIME conference is taking place today at The Bridge Centre, and the room is full of clinical support workers from across Combined Healthcare, as well as non-registered staff from bands 2–5.

This morning colleagues heard from from Dr Buki Adeyemo, Chief Executive, and Kenny Laing, Chief Nurse. The rest of the morning sessions have encouraged discussions about hope and there’s a wide range of breakout sessions happening this afternoon – what a busy day!

Aside from January being 4,507 days long it’s been wild starting uni and my new job ramping up.

First day of uni was great! Very surreal to be back in education after swearing I never would but so excited to see what this year has to offer. Feeling very lucky to be on the path to becoming a qualified #EMHP

So Friday was a wrap on Darwin!
After more than two years as an activity worker it’s time for pastures new, back to uni and the path to being a qualified practitioner.
My time at the Darwin defies description, I’ve loved the work but more than that I’ve adored the people!
