Absolutely heartbreaking update from the Universal Ostrich Farm an hour ago.

The injured hen, who broke her leg running from the RCMP drones, then later was dragged from the barn by CFIA agents and left behind a shed, is dying alone while the family is left to watch 😭💔

🪶☠️😿 : The ostrich named Spirit just died. She was badly hurt after being spooked by a low flying drone the CFIA or RCMP were using on the farm.

The poor bird, unaccustomed to police drones, mistook the drone for a predator and ran away, into a fence. These birds can run incredibly fast 40+ MPH, making any collision, violent.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency was placed in charge of these birds. They can live upwards of 70+ years.

Instead the CFIA torment the birds, built a kill pen and didn't even bring a veterinarian on site for 2 days to care for the bird.

The farm owners were denied the right to care for the bird.

What a horrible way to treat an innocent bird, who has done nothing wrong.

This is the same agency monitoring our food supply.

Imagine the abuses they must allow of livestock, if given the right incentives to turn a blind eye to animal cruelty?

How many millions of dollars has the Canadian government spent on this operation?

I’ve stumbled upon a similar case in terms of CFIA mandates and enforcements towards a flock of SHROPSHIRE SHEEP in Hastings Ontario back in 2010.

I’m in no way stating these are “exact” similarities when citing court documents and the issues risen from the case. The similarities I want to highlight are actions towards farmers and in this sheep case testing negative or quote:

“Without credible tests that empirically prove the existence of scrapie (the disease), to proceed with the planned extermination is both unscientific and tyrannical..."

I’ve captured two videos from the website to which I’ll link in the following post below. These are not my videos but wanted to post them direct.

BREAKING NEWS: A hen named "Spirit" at the BC Ostrich Farm has died after alleged neglect from the CFIA. The hen's death was confirmed to the farm's owners by their lawyer.

The family was not allowed to see the animal before its last moments. The CFIA and RCMP are currently occupying the Universal Ostrich Farm awaiting the result of a stay on the cull by the Supreme Court of Canada.

The chief guarding the Universal Ostrich farm was beaten by police as a teenager. Yesterday, he told the police that he forgives them and this beautiful moment happened.
