By far one of my favorite option structures is the long synthetic - also known as combos. Many people have asked me about this, so let me explain why this is a hack in large accounts. Threadπ

@jbulltard1 Thanks James - easily one of the best traders on X. Following your thought process on risk reversals for credit and the flow database has been super valuable and both have helped improve my performance quite a bit last few months
@Banana3Stocks Fundamentals still absurd. 17.5 fwd p/e, 0.40 PEG, insane FCF. Then not to mention all the flow hitting the tape the last 2 weeks for June, July and beyond + the chart?? Love it love it
@Banana3Stocks It's go time, been one of the best deals in the market! I also expect $NVDA to 250 sometime this summer. I'm mostly loaded in July 215c, November 215c and some June 240c lottos
@JOBhakdi Agreed - had Nov 175p/215c risk reversals I bought at 200 last month, and trimmed on the run up. Reloaded the same short puts yesterday around 212. Just seems like a gift and best not to overthink it
SPX already had 0DTE, but I can't wait for them to be introduced on the Mag7 (already got Mon and Wed) and the rest of highly traded option markets like the MUs of the world
Gotten into single name 0DTE trading a lot more lately with some guidance from some friends, and after some experimentation I can def say I prefer them to weeklies. The high gamma and theta of these cons allow you to realize gains like delta 1 instruments as you get deeper ITM
For these setups I prefer not to roll even though many traders do that to lock in gains. E.g. buying $META 617.5 options yesterday for $1 and then riding them like shares to $630 took them to $14+ due to intrinsic premium > selling at 200% 4 times with the same bet size
@TheBronxViking Definitely tempting now after seeing how $DELL and $UMAC have played out. Been buying puts on $PLTR since I saw Colin's analysis a while back and its worked well

Trading and investing require more passion, dedication, and commitment than nearly any other pursuit on earth.
Reality is if youβre not completely obsessed youβre not going to make it.
Thereβs a balance but you really need to love this game.
@optionscjp Totally agree with you, both buying and selling have their roles in a larger portfolio and are valuable together. Buying for the asymmetric upside and selling for high probability wins and consistent cash flow
@optionscjp Trimmed some during the move from 200 -> 230 but have around 400 shares and a decently sized risk reversal left between my accounts. Selling an uneven chunk of 6/5 250c against my position which ultimately is creating a straddle
@stocktalkweekly Both have their place IMO. I mainly run swings (risk reversals/LEAPs/etc) which help maintain exposure in names I like without any fomo. Recently got into weeklies though and due to gamma effects they pay incredibly well if you pick your spots, and gains flow back into swings
