There is great optimism about Africa's future as shared by titans of industry including Tony Elumelu, Robert Friedland and Wale Tinubu.
A point that stood out wasn't what role governments can play in developing industry, it is that at times, governments simply need to get out the way.
Private sector development is essential and the leaders in this space drive innovation, job creation and contribute hugely to the treasury where they operate.
To the young African seeking to rise and become a business leader, your time has come and know that you are more relevant to the global economy than you can imagine.
We'll do what we can to support you but at times, we'll get out of your way so you shine and conquer your dreams. #DripUniversity
Drip University tools for growth...
Success is often sold as a straight line from a degree to a desk, but the real world usually plays by a different set of rules. While education provides the map, your internal toolkit determines whether you actually reach the destination.
If you’re looking to level up, here are the three "invisible" drivers of success:
1. The Power of a Growth Mindset
Education tells you what you know, but mindset dictates what you can learn.
The Shift: Stop seeing failure as a verdict on your intelligence and start seeing it as data.
The Secret: People with a growth mindset don’t just handle challenges; they seek them out because they know that’s where the "muscle" is built.
2. Positive Mental Attitude (PMA)
This isn't about "toxic positivity" or ignoring reality. It’s about intentional focus.
The Edge: In a room full of people identifying problems, the person with a PMA is the one looking for the pivot.
The Result: Optimism acts as a force multiplier. It sustains your energy when logic tells you to quit, and it makes people want to work with you, which is half the battle.
3. Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
If IQ gets you through the door, EQ gets you a seat at the table.
Self-Awareness: Knowing your triggers and strengths so you don't get in your own way.
Empathy: Understanding the "why" behind other people’s actions.
The Secret: Success is almost always a team sport. High EQ allows you to navigate conflict, build influence, and lead others without needing a title to do it.
The Bottom Line: Degrees get dated, and facts can be Googled. But a resilient mindset, a relentless attitude, and the ability to connect with humans. Those are the evergreen secrets to a life well-lived.
Keep building the person, not just the resume.

In life, you have to be strategic. You can’t have a fit partner whose survival depends entirely on you while you’re still hustling through your own financial struggles.Every conversation ninshi “I need this” or that,” it is very exhausting.
I’m also trying to survive boi.
Your children are not your children
They are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself
They come through you but not from you
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you
You may give them your love but not your thoughts
For they have their own thoughts
You may house their bodies but not their souls
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow
Which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams
You may strive to be like them
But seek not to make them like you
For life goes not backward, nor tarries with yesterday
You are the bows from which your children
As living arrows are sent forth
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite
And he bends you with his might
That his arrows may go swift and far
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness
For even as he loves the arrow that flies
So he loves also the bow that is stable
— Kahil Gibran, The Prophet

Qualifications like masters degree enhance ones analytical skills & capacity to conceptualise problems, frame questions & design approaches to find answers objectively. Despite more masters degree graduates in recent years, quality of problem analysis in Zambia remain poor. WHY?
It would be sad to remember that there once was a time when we had so much money or even just an opportunity to make it yet we did nothing about it but wasted it all.
My message today: Do the right thing while there’s still time to change and make a difference.
K1mn earns you prestige banking status in Zambia, with a black card 💳 on you. It’s a lot not because you have it but because of the demand it creates from those who don’t have it and those who know how much more they can make out of it. Think investment, not spending.

The US has cut $50m (K1.4bn) funding to the Zambian health sector due to theft of drugs.
The US government is actually right to cut that $50m funding, essential as it may be. They carried out an investigation and sent out 2000 mystery buyers who came back with a report that NOT FOR SALE donated drugs were in fact being stolen and sold. Government was notified of this in 2021 and since then, no decisive action has been taken. This is now 2025. What do we expect them to do?
Also, the fact that people think the people stealing drugs are politicians is part of the problem. The people who work in hospitals are yours and my relatives. Those are the people stealing those drugs.
Banana Production
1) 1600 plants cover an entire hectare
2) Takes about 10-13 months to reach full maturity
3) A yield is 30-33kgs per plant average price of k8-10 per kilo
4) Irrigation: Micro jet sprinklers are the best, alternatives are flooding and basin irrigation.
This bill shouldn’t pass not just because it sounds like suppression of digital freedom but mostly because if it does, it will make them feel like they can just wake up any day and suggest any bill, no matter how extreme, knowing that they’ll definitely manage to pass it as law.
Statistically Zambian government employs 12% of the population and thats a worrying big percentage because economies are built by entrepreneurs, Fellow hustlers let’s keep the hustle strong for our great country. #businessmonga
