@n5200ptoser If you had a CAD program that ran on a 386 and didn't need a FPU or cache, though it took advantage of it if you had it and then you upgraded to a Pentium 4, the CAD program would run half a million times faster. CPUs are still getting faster, but software has to be optimized.
