Want an easy way to work on your top hand? Try this 3-step one-hand drill:
1️⃣ Get level- (bat on the shoulder parallel to ground/ front arm also parallel to ground making a 90 degree angle when you grab the bat
2️⃣ add your tilt – bring that front elbow down to the ball line of where it will cross the plate- alternate both high and low
3️⃣ Turn & release the barrel- slow easy push at first. Then as you get a better feel. Start adding all that coil bullshit everyone talks about.

But can you actually feel it? 🏐
🔥 Try this med ball feel during your workouts:
1️⃣ Throw the ball up — sink into the ground as you catch with both legs.
2️⃣ Add a slight turn back into your back heel/hip as you catch.
3️⃣ From there, lift the front foot without drifting back. (Don’t lean over the backside — just control it long enough to stay balanced. You’re not a statue… that never happens in real hitting!)

This is a chart Dante Bichette gave me years ago — look closely at the windows from “great” to “2 strikes.” There’s only about 4 inches of difference in depth across inside, middle, and away.
When hitters stretch contact points over 3–4 feet, timing gets hard and loft disappears. Keep the ball close to the plate, stay in your posture, and let your barrel work through the right direction.
