When we cannot control something or someone, we often revert to hope. A hope for something better will happen, or a better tomorrow. If we cannot control our time and finances, we usually revert to hope for a better tomorrow.

When, for example a 9-5 employee cannot control his time due to the shifts, he has to work daily, he hopes for a tomorrow that he gets promoted, or his market investments will give good profits, or maybe he can enroll for masters to earn more in the future. He hopes for a better tomorrow.

When, you cannot control your clubbing girlfriend, you hopes she will be a changed woman, you hope she will see sense one day, you hope she can feel the same way you feel.

When you do not control your finances, and living one payment from a paycheck, you hope that one day a miracle from heaven will fall on you.
