Nemaha Central (2A, 10-1) has been unstoppable since their week 1 loss to Marysville going 10-0 and outscoring their opponents 346-104 in the span. Junior ATH Carter Hajek, 2023 2A Offensive POY, has put up some insane numbers for the Thunder once again with 35 rushing TDs and 11 passing TDs through 11 games. The junior already has 83 rushing TDs and 4848 rushing yards in his career with a whole season still to go. Michael Glatczak has done a phenomenal job with this program and has back to back state championships and a favorite three-peat this year. Nemaha Central took down a talented Osage City on the road last Friday 33-27 to take a Sectional championship. Hajek had 4 rushing TDs and 304 rushing yards in the win. Other impressive performers were senior Abram Keim with 16 tackles and junior Caleb Strathman with 13 tackles. The Thunder will matchup against Council Grove this week at home with a trip to the state championship on the line. #sportsinkansas
Nemaha Central’s (2A, 9-1) 5’11 195lb Linebacker has been a beast all season for the Thunder. Abram Keim was an All-State linebacker and 2A DPOTY finalist as a junior when Nemaha Central won their second 2A state championship in a row and has proven himself once again to be one of the best. Keim has 126 tackles on the season through just 10 games. Only 14 away from his season total last year through 13 games. Nemaha Central moves to 9-1 on a 9 game winning streak after a week one loss to Marysville and matches up against undefeated Osage City in Sectionals this week. #sportsinkansas
