I can't stop laughing at the fact that John Calipari was doing a coaches camp for kids in Fort Smith, Arkansas yesterday only to be courtside in the NBA Finals at MSG next to Adam Sandler.
What a life my coach leads.
A few thoughts in the wake of Thomas Massie’s primary defeat:
There is a weird coalition of far left and right wing influencers that have fallen for the lie that AIPAC and by extension Israel is the number one problem facing the United States.
Is it A problem yes. Is it THE problem…no.
Take a look at this list of PAC contributions from highest to lowest over the last 2 cycles.
1
ActBlue
Democratic fundraising platform
2
WinRed
Republican fundraising platform
3
American Israel Public Affairs Committee Political Action Committee
Pro-Israel lobbying PAC
4
SEIU COPE
Labor union / Democratic
5
National Education Association Fund for Children and Public Education
Teachers union / Democratic
6
House Majority PAC
Democratic congressional Super PAC
7
Senate Majority PAC
Democratic Senate Super PAC
8
Club for Growth Action
Conservative / free-market
9
MAGA Inc.
Pro-Trump Super PAC
10
EMILY’s List
Democratic women candidates
And this list isn’t even taking into account lobbying expenses.
That is Dem - 6 to Rep/conservative - 3
and AIPAC. Why did I put them in their own category. Because they support BOTH WAYS.
Many of these so called right wing bros telling you to support democrats over republicans because they’re “owned by Israel,” are missing the forrest for the trees and their prescription to their stated problem makes no sense.
Here’s why: look at this list of left wing politicians that AIPAC supported through campaign contributions over the same period.
George Latimer — supported in the primary against Jamaal Bowman
Shontel Brown — heavily backed in prior progressive-vs-moderate Democratic primaries
Ritchie Torres — strongly pro-Israel Democrat
Hakeem Jeffries — received support from pro-Israel donor networks
Josh Gottheimer — moderate Democrat aligned with pro-Israel policy positions
Wesley Bell — backed in the race against Cori Bush
Glenn Ivey — backed against Donna Edwards in 2022
So if your argument is we need to dump the America first/MAGA candidates because they’ve received funds from AIPAC and instead support the party of transing kids, destroying American society through identity politics, open borders, and mass third world replacement of Americans in their own country: you’ve lost the plot.
The problem with many of these Gen Z influencers is they don’t understand in this instant gratification, subscriber based society they’ve grown up in is that you can’t get everything you want all at once.
We slowly descended into these problems because Americans have been asleep at the wheel for decades. It will take the same amount of painful uphill fighting to climb out of it.
This is not a “trust the plan” speech. But it is a call to stop being dumb, put your big boy pants on, and understand the fight that is in front of you speech.
No, I will not be supporting democrats just because the Trump administration has not delivered 100% of the things I voted for. They have delivered on a strong 75% at least and that’s a hell of a lot better than we would have gotten under the alternative.
Grow up. Next election we’ll get another chance to elect even better candidates more aligned with American values as we each assess. Societies aren’t built in a day, but they can sure as shit crumble in one, and your prescription is to hand control of our government back to the forces of western decay seeking just that.
EVERY DEMOCRAT WANTS YOU DEAD. EVERY ONE.
Every single one of them harbors this desire. They leave the physical act of pulling the trigger to others. The moment the bullet finds its mark, the masks drop and the celebration begins. "For the common good." "To protect our democracy." These are the same blood-soaked incantations they have recited since 2016.
They will claim violence has no place in our politics while immediately pivoting to label MAGA as the real threat. The translation is clear. Your death is an unfortunate necessity demanded by the Republic.
This represents the logical endpoint of a decade-long campaign of demonization. They call Trump Hitler. They label MAGA a cult. They equate border enforcement with racism and election skepticism with insurrection. Every institution they control from the media and academia to the DOJ and Big Tech has spent years programming their followers to view conservatives strictly as vermin. When the vermin start dying, the faithful refuse to mourn. They meme. They ratio. They trend phrases like "one down, millions to go."
History is littered with regimes that spoke in the language of the common good while stacking bodies. The Jacobins, the Bolsheviks, and the Red Guards all began with noble rhetoric and ended with mass graves. The modern American Left has simply updated the vocabulary to weaponize terms like equity, sustainability, and the idea that democracy dies in darkness. It is the exact same meat grinder operating under new branding.
Their rhetoric is its merciless clarity. It destroys the comfortable illusion of equal culpability between both sides. One side argues policy. The other side argues that your existence is a hate crime. There is no negotiating with that level of hostility. Reaching across the aisle is impossible when the opposition views the aisle itself as a moral obscenity.
The path forward requires us to stop pretending. We must stop apologizing for noticing reality. We must stop ceding the moral high ground to people who cheer when we bleed. The shooting tonight is Exhibit A in the case for political realism. They want us erased. We want to win. Only one of those goals is compatible with survival.
Political violence is a feature, not a bug of progressivism.
Because progressivism is built on top of a Critical Theory lens that sees the world through "Oppressed vs Oppressor" categories rather than a Christian Theology lens of "Right vs Wrong", it trains people to see opponents not as mistaken, but as evil oppressors.
If you believe someone is mistaken, you try to persuade them (what @charliekirk11 did).
If you believe someone is an evil oppressor ("literally Hitler!", "fascist", "existential threat to democracy", virtually everything and everyone is "racist"), you will feel a moral obligation to stop them.
This is why there is radically disproportionate violence emerging on the Left.
Politics are important, but listen to me: Politics cannot fix what politics did not break.
And Mankind was broken long before any political system.
Only a return to Jesus Christ who can reach inside the chests of men and give them new and living hearts of love, worship, and humility can save any person, any family, and any society.
Christ is the only way out of the chaos.
I voted 3 times for Donald J. Trump, not because the media told me, or influencers.
To each their own… but the attacks on the admin and POTUS have gotten out of control.
Some of my fellow conservative influencers are going harder on Trump than they ever did on Biden! 🙄
There is a two week ceasefire, Glenn. I’m sorry nuclear war didn’t happen. Honest question, do you agree the world would be safer if North Korea didn’t have nuclear weapons? I wish Clinton had kept that from happening. Iran isn’t going to have nuclear weapons thanks to Trump.
🚨Joy Reid issues WARNING on Far-Right agenda:
- No income taxes
- No regulations on business
- Earn as much money as you want
- Leave 100% of it to your children with no taxes
Yes, Joy. You nailed it.
This is the American Dream. 🇺🇸
🚨 BREAKING 🚨
The Chicago Sky plan to sign Angel Reese to a supermax $1,400 contract. The deal includes the use of a 2014 Mazda 6 with 312,000 miles on it.
@KenSlackBledsoe This makes complete sense because Vanderbilt has a 5.8% chance of making the Final 4. Arkansas only has a…. Checks chart… 6.1% chance of making the Final 4 😂
I just don't get the 4 seed. UF is a 1. Arkansas has 26 wins, just like UF, in the same SEC, while playing a tougher non-con. They are 15-4 in SEC games, Ark is 16-5. Arkansas won the SEC tourny, & was 2nd in the Reg season. Make it make sense.1st Team All-American, SEC POTY too.
Iran's Crown Prince, @PahlaviReza:
"A free Iran will recognize the state of Israel immediately, and friendship with America and its people will be restored. Iran, without the Islamic regime, is a peace-loving country. A free Iran is a force for peace."
