@blakecowellx Can generally forgive shitty losses like this (sometimes they have it and you don’t!) but in the broader context, the momentum of last night, the guy on the mound - something is clearly broken. Minus a few guys, everybody is playing for their jobs here in out
i am a christian so i believe that feeding and housing refugees is a better use of tax dollars than a handout to a billionaire. can’t speak for these atheists
Pritzker gives illegals ($2.5B) in free housing, medicaid and EBT cards, but they can't give the Bears
-Infrastructure
-Tax incentives- with certainty
Gov Braun (R) got the Bears bc he put Indiana first, Pritzker put Illegals first
Keep voting Democrat, you f'n dirtbags
If the @ChicagoBears and Hammond were smart, they would lean into this gritty, industrial vibe.
Decommission some of the industrial infrastructure, move it around, give it a bit of the Wrigleyville treatment and this could be something authentic and unique.
@Sky18Sam@Donkeykong69__@Jayleejnr I truly could give a fuck less about any of their political aspirations I want the Bears in Illinois and I don’t think I should have to pay for it
I’ve said it a thousand times at this point, but ruining everything people love about sports to squeeze a few more dollars is gonna have long term negative effects that people can’t imagine
@pgct77@HGrahamNFL Yes - and like any business, if you go in front of the ILGA and ask for a tax break you have to demonstrate an ROI and convince legislators of it. Bears did not do that. Hope this helps!
.@paschutz noted the Bears didn't meet with individual lawmakers enough to get the stadium bill votes they needed.
He added the Bears hired a lot of lobbyists who know their way around Springfield, "but I was told over and over again that Kevin Warren didn't listen to them."
@ggabefootball Worked out really well for him during the legislative session big dog!! Got his bill passed and ev- ope wait he went home with nothing lol
@Shemars_shooter Okay but the portion of Illinoisans who are Bears fans is dramatically smaller than the portion of Illinoisans who pay taxes, not even factoring in the Bears fans who would rather they move than pay for a hand out
Like, man, Indiana is getting SCREWED.
If they move to Indiana, the Bears would keep ALL revenue generated by the stadium and have the option to buy back the stadium in 40 years, after Indiana taxpayers have paid off the bonds.
@Donkeykong69__@Jayleejnr “Property tax certainty” is just a way to pay less in taxes than the land is worth! And the gap is made up for by the Illinois taxpayer
