Had to trade away Trey, Dejounte, Herb, and the 2027 first. Got Brown, heavily improved shooting, kept Zion, fixed the center position, and got a 2026 first.
@NOLAPels_Saints Made that Kessler contract escalate so it's a 4-year, $120M deal. And yea, after the trade:
Fears, Brown, ?, Zion, and Kessler. Then bench: Bey, Queen, Hauser, Smith/Missi. Would trade Poole to the Bucks.
Hmmmmm, so as soon as the Jaylen Brown Pelicans rumors start, Giannis to the Celtics also begin to spread. Feels like not a coincidence, especially with the Pelicans owning the Bucks' 2027 pick.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is reportedly "very intrigued" by the Boston Celtics' roster depth and dynamic over the Miami Heat as a potential trade destination, per @sam_amick , @eric_nehm
"And then there’s the question of how Antetokounmpo sees the Celtics situation. That might matter more than anything else. While league sources have long maintained that he’s interested in joining the Heat, there are also indications that he’s very intrigued with the prospect of joining a Celtics team that, by any objective measure, is deeper and more dynamic than Miami’s and could thus remain more competitive after a blockbuster deal. And again, Antetokounmpo’s focus on getting back to title contention should not be overlooked."

@pelsrbetta Get a wing that can shoot and a center. I think the talent may drop a bit but the fits are better. Depth would be a potential issue, but that can be dealt with.
With the Jaylen Brown trade, I really think he would want to be on a team like the Pelicans. He liked having his own team until Tatum came back, so partnering him with Fears and Queen would be great.
