Once children became things we can create, select, freeze, discard, rent wombs for, pay for, screen for, customize, we really should not be shocked when people begin speaking of them like they are just products, because that is what products are, they are judged by their quality, they are measured by how useful they are, they are accepted or rejected based on whether they meet the desires of the buyer.

@sola_chad It’s only a human and a tragedy depending on whether the parents want the child or not. If they want the child and they lose it, only then is it a tragedy. The value of the human life is not intrinsic, it’s based entirely on the whether or not it’s wanted.

We remember to have compassion for the mother of that child who followed the pressures of a fallen society to abort her child. This problem goes beyond the individuals who are essentially victims of a broken system. We pray for fortitude when the weight of reality strikes.

I have an uncle with Down syndrome. I do part time work in a home with 6 guys who have Down syndrome. Every single of them is worthy of life.
