It also seems out of touch to brag about how much you’re helping the issue of men’s college attendance, while also admitting that it’s because you focus on the programs where men’s attendance has never been an issue. That’s just playing your part in maintaining status quo.

As a Purdue alum and PhD student, I want to comment on “the letter.” I don’t care if I “partner with a less educated man.” If I contribute to a low birth rate, it’s because I have read too many pregnancy horror stories and have no interest in learning what a Cocomelon is. Thanks.

A college education isn’t the only way to be successful, so let’s not act like men aren’t “holding up their end of the bargain” when they choose those other options. Especially given the current cost of college in the US.
