Extreme heat is in the forecast.

Much of California will experience unseasonably hot weather into next week, with large portions of the state under Heat Advisories or Extreme Heat Warnings.

The National Weather Service HeatRisk forecast shows where heat may have the greatest impact. Areas shown in red indicate a major risk of heat-related health impacts, especially for people without adequate cooling or hydration.

Protect yourself and others:
☀️ Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.
💧 Drink plenty of water.
🏠 Spend time in air-conditioned spaces.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
👥 Check on older adults, neighbors and others who may need help.

Know the signs of heat-related illness and seek medical help when needed.
