🏅Wow! Students from all 5 elementary schools combined to participate in the Continental Math League. 4th grade placed first in our region, & 3rd grade tied for first nationally. Congrats to our Caley Top Scorers! Two Cougars even got National Medals! We’re so proud of you all!
🏕️Our First Grade Cougars had a BLAST at Camp Caley this week! Students made tents, campfires, went fishing, and even roasted marshmallows (all pretend, of course!)! What a special memory for them all!

🌲Our 4th graders had an unforgettable day swinging, climbing, and exploring at Treehouse World! From high ropes to massive treehouses, they conquered new heights and built amazing team spirit. So proud of our brave adventurers!
Today our 3rd graders transformed our Caley gym into a Living Wax Museum! Students researched a famous person, worked through the writing process, and then got to present their hard work to our families. They were superstars!🌟
Last week our 4th graders got to take flight at iFly! They took part in an interactive STEM experience which included a physics demonstration, a classroom experiment, and flying time in the tunnel!
🐾 3rd & 4th graders had a tail-wagging good time when Officer Moll and K9 Maddie of the UMPD dropped by Caley last week. Students learned how K9 heroes help our community. Maddie showed off her incredible training skills, and students even got some high-quality fluff time!👮♂️🐕
🐥One of our Cougars’ favorite memories each year is chick hatching season! Students learned about chickens and their life cycle through the Embryology Program through the Montgomery County 4-H Club. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to our PTC for sponsoring this project!
♟️Game Day was a success in Ms. Zinicola’s Classroom! Students enjoyed some friendly competition and teamwork while sharing their favorite board games with their classmates.

In STEM, 2nd graders have been learning about pollinators and how they are needed to create fruits. The past few weeks they have been testing materials to help them design hand pollinators to use with our pumpkin plants that are growing inside.🐝
🪄Last week, author Blair Dooner, community member & former Caley parent, shared her book, "The Changing Spell" with our 2nd graders. She told us what inspired her & walked our students through the writing & publishing process. It was a great day honoring a fabulous new author!

🎉Congratulations to our 3rd grade teachers for becoming Early Literacy Masters! They have been training all year with our Elementary Literacy Coach, Julie Overly, and are ready to tackle our new language arts program. Great work, Team!🌟🌟🌟
🐞At Caley, Mrs. Christian's Kindergarteners got to spend learn about ladybugs and why they are important to our ecosystem. Students learned about their life cycle, the parts of a ladybug, got to read The Grouchy Ladybug, and even got to hold and release their very own ladybugs!
