When I left Canada, I sold my RRSP’s. The government took 50% of that money. Then I converted what was left into American dollars. Lost another 30% or so.
With that money I bought a small piece of land. In 2.5 yrs I sold it and made 20x’s what I bought it for.
So all in all, I ended up ahead even tho I was taxed out the yoo-haw at the beginning. And not to mention all the while living in the best country and state….
